If you are looking to get a taxi with a child seat in Germany and wondering how to do this, then this post hopefully will help.
Children Under 2 Years Old or Under 15KG
If your kid is under 2 years old, then you will need a normal child-seat. The problem here is that taxi drivers of small cars don’t have this child seat so what you need is to find a XXL Taxi. These are basically the big Mercedes taxis that fit 8 people. You can find one easily using the Taxi EU app.
We don’t recommend using the Free Now app, as some times the XL taxi you get isn’t a big Mercedes so it may not have a normal child seat.
Airport & large train stations: you will find plenty of XXL taxis in front of airports exists and large trains stations, so you don’t need any app in this case.
Here are photos from the Taxi EU app with child seat option for XXL Taxi.
Children Over 2 Years Old or Over 15KG
If your child is over 2 years old, then you can pretty much order any taxi since the majority of them have a Child Booster Seat. In this case any taxi car or app would work for you.
